Who this agreement is between
These terms are between RodriMath and you — the adult using it. Contact details are at the top of the Privacy Policy.
Children do not agree to anything. A child's account is created and controlled by their parent or by a school authorised to act for them, and a child cannot enter into a contract with us. Nothing here purports to bind a child or to waive any right a parent holds on their behalf.
If you are agreeing on behalf of a school or district, the School and District Terms apply in addition to these, and where the two differ about student information, those govern.
Accepting them
You accept these terms and the Privacy Policy by ticking the box when you create an account. We record which dated version you accepted and when.
When we change them in a way that matters, you will be asked to read and accept the new version before you can carry on using the product. We do not treat carrying on in silence as agreement to something materially different.
Who may use RodriMath
You must be at least 18 years old to hold an adult account.
When you sign up you confirm one of two things, and which one depends on the account you are creating:
- I am 18 or over, and I am the parent or legal guardian of every child I add to RodriMath.
- I am 18 or over, and I use RodriMath only with children I teach: with my school’s authorisation, or, as a tutor, with each child’s parent’s agreement.
- These are recorded against your account in the words you were shown. They matter: a teacher’s is part of what the person who checks new teacher accounts has to go on, and a parent’s is part of the consent a child’s record rests on.
Accounts, and being responsible for one
A new teacher account is checked by a person before it can see any child's work. We may decline an account, and if we do we will tell you why. A parent's account can be used straight away, and sees only the children the parent adds or is invited to share.
Keep your password to yourself and do not let anyone else use your account. Tell us promptly if you think somebody has.
You are responsible for what happens under accounts you control, including the child accounts you create.
Children’s accounts
A child signs in with a username and a PIN. They have no email address in RodriMath, and nobody outside the product can reach them through it. Inside it, the only words an adult can send a child are the title and instructions of work their own teacher sets, and a child cannot write back.
Keeping a child's PIN private is the responsibility of the adult who set it. A child's session lasts ten hours so that a school day does not end with a locked-out class, and a child still at the screen can carry on — on a shared classroom tablet, please sign the child out when they have finished.
A child's account only works while there is a lawful basis for it: a parent's consent, or a school's authorisation. If a parent withdraws consent the child cannot sign in, and we stop collecting immediately.
What the service does, and what it does not claim
RodriMath works out what a child understands and chooses what to teach them next. It does this from the answers they give.
Those conclusions are teaching aids. They are not assessments of record, not a diagnosis of any condition, learning difficulty or disability, and not a determination of eligibility for any programme, placement, intervention or funding. Do not use them as the sole basis for a decision about a child's education. A teacher's judgement and a formal assessment are different things from an engine's estimate, and this product does not replace either.
Every question a child sees is generated from a template a person approved, and is independently checked before it is served. No artificial intelligence writes anything a child sees. We test this exhaustively and take it seriously. We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted, always available, or free of every error.
Using it properly
While using RodriMath, do not:
- Try to reach any child’s record other than the ones you are entitled to see.
- Share your account, or let anyone else sign in as you.
- Add a child you do not teach or are not the parent of, or share a class’s join code beyond the families it is for.
- Automate access, scrape the service, or extract the question bank, the lessons or the curriculum.
- Interfere with the service, probe it, or try to get around any limit or check in it.
- Enter anybody’s personal details into a free-text field. Notes and instructions are visible to other adults, and instructions are visible to the child — they are not the place for a child’s medical information, a family circumstance, or anything about another child.
- Use the service for anything other than teaching and learning mathematics.
What you may do with RodriMath’s material
RodriMath's software, lessons, questions, pictures, characters, name and mascot are provided for you to teach and to learn with, and for nothing else. You may not copy, extract, publish or sell them. That is the whole of the licence, and no other right is granted by implication.
Some material belongs to others and is used on their terms. The Common Core State Standards are reproduced under the public licence their authors grant, with the attribution that licence requires shown wherever they appear. Florida's B.E.S.T. Standards for Mathematics are the Florida Department of Education's, and are shown with its attribution. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by either. The typefaces are used under the SIL Open Font License. The open-source components are used under their own licences.
What you write stays yours. The names, notes and instructions you enter remain yours, and you give us only the permission we need to store them and show them to the people who should see them.
A child's work, and the record of what they have learned, belongs to the child and their family. Where a school is involved, that record is also the school's education record and the school directs what happens to it.
Privacy
How we handle information is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: the minimum collected, no advertising, no analytics, no sale of data, and a parent can review, refuse and delete.
Accessibility
RodriMath is built to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 at Level AA. Read-aloud, adjustable size, stronger colours, less movement, an easier-to-read typeface, "Just the maths", "No rush" and full keyboard operation are in every child's own Settings and take effect without an adult's approval.
If any part of the service is not usable for you or for a child, write to hello@rodrimath.com and tell us what you were trying to do and what got in the way. We will fix it. That is a commitment with a person behind it, not a form that goes nowhere.
What it costs
Adult accounts are free. Two of them come with a household and are never charged. What is paid for is a child's place, and nothing a child can see costs money: there is no in-product purchase, no currency, no cosmetic to buy and nothing a child can spend. A reward is earned or it does not exist.
A household starts with 30 days free and we do not ask for a card to begin. We tell you the day they end when your household starts, and email you a week before they do. When they end nothing is charged: the children your household would pay for are paused, with nothing lost, until a plan is chosen. A plan costs $99 a year for the first child and $59 a year for the second and the third, or $11.99 and $6.99 a month. A household is never charged for more than three children; every child beyond that is covered at no charge, exactly as the others are. A third adult account, and each one after, is $19 a year or $2.29 a month. A teacher's own tutor plan is $199 a year; one class of up to 30 children is free, with no card and no time limit.
A teacher plan is for one adult teaching their own groups, and its sign-in is theirs alone. Several adults teaching together — a co-op, a microschool, a school — share an organization licence instead, which covers every adult they have. If a tutor plan looks to us like it is being shared, we will write to the teacher and talk about it; we will never remove a child from a class, lock a class, or pause a child over it.
Your plan renews by itself until you stop it. A yearly plan charges again each year and a monthly plan each month, on the same card, at the price for the seats your plan covers on the day it renews — the current figure and the exact date are always on your Billing page. When you choose a plan you tick a box agreeing that it renews, and we keep a record of that agreement. We email you a confirmation with the price, the next charge date and how to cancel; thirty-eight days and again twenty-six days before a yearly plan renews we email you the date and the amount, with a link to cancel; and on a monthly plan we remind you of all of that once a year. Our payment processor also emails you a receipt for every payment.
We never raise the price of a plan you are already on without telling you at least ninety days before, and never part-way through a period you have paid for. We tell you again between seven and thirty days before the new price starts, with a link to cancel. If you would rather not pay the new price, cancel before it starts and nothing more is charged.
You can change the number of children on your plan from your Billing page, and the difference is prorated on your next receipt. You can move a monthly plan to yearly whenever you like, in one press: we charge the year on the day you do it and credit the days of the month you have already paid for, so nothing is paid twice, and the page shows you the exact figure before you press and asks you to tick a box agreeing to the yearly renewal. Moving a yearly plan back to monthly part-way through a year is something we do by hand — write to us — because it would otherwise leave most of a year as credit on your account rather than money in your bank.
Taking a break. You can put a child on a break from your Billing page. On a running plan the break begins when the period you have paid for ends: the child keeps learning until then, and your plan drops them straight away so the next bill is smaller, with nothing refunded or charged for the current period. You can undo it before it begins. Bringing back a child whose break has begun puts them on your plan again and charges the rest of the current period that day; a declined card changes nothing. Before you confirm, the page shows the amount due that day and what your plan renews at afterwards, and we email you a receipt. Where nothing has been paid for — during the free days — a break begins at once.
A child whose school buys RodriMath is covered by the school and does not need to be on your plan. Your Billing page shows it, and you choose whether to lower your plan: your bill never changes until you say so. A school or district pays by invoice under the School and District Terms; nothing in this section applies to it.
Our payment processor takes and holds the card. RodriMath never sees or stores a card number, and no child's name is ever sent to the processor — only how many seats a plan covers.
Cancelling, and getting money back
You can cancel at any time, in one press, from your own Billing page. There is no phone call, no form, no email to write and nobody to talk out of it. A teacher cancels their tutor plan the same way from their Plan page. If you would rather we did it for you, write to hello@rodrimath.com and we will.
Cancelling stops the next charge. The plan runs to the end of the period you have already paid for, and you can change your mind and keep it right up to that date with one press.
A yearly plan can be refunded in full within 30 days of the charge, no questions asked. Write to hello@rodrimath.com and ask; we do not require a reason and will not ask for one. A monthly plan has no refund window because it does not need one — cancelling stops the next charge, and the month already paid for is a month already used.
After the paid period ends, the children billed to that household are paused. Nothing is deleted because of it. Every world, every reward and the whole record of what each child has learned stays exactly as it is, and all of it is there the moment a plan is chosen again. The ordinary retention rule in the Privacy Policy still applies: a record with no learning activity for two years is deleted, whether or not a plan is running. A child a school covers is not affected, and neither is a child on any class register.
A payment that fails is not a cancellation. While the processor retries the card, every child carries on exactly as before and nothing is paused; if the retries run out the plan cancels, and that is the point at which the paragraph above applies.
No figure, date or countdown about any of this ever appears on a child's screen. A child whose household has lapsed is shown one plain line asking them to fetch a grown-up, and told that nothing they did has been lost.
Stopping
You can stop using RodriMath at any time. Stopping the payments is the section above; this one is about leaving altogether. A parent can delete a child's record from their own account page, which removes the account and everything the child has done — and unlike cancelling, deleting does not keep anything.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that puts a child's safety or privacy at risk. Where we do, we will say why. We will not use suspension as a way of avoiding a deletion request or a parent's exercise of any right in the Privacy Policy.
Closing an adult account does not delete the record of what that person did in the product, because an audit trail that loses the actor is not an audit trail and a school reviewing an incident depends on it.
What we promise, and what we do not
We provide RodriMath as it is and as it is available. Beyond what these terms and the Privacy Policy say expressly, and to the fullest extent the law allows, we do not make other warranties — including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or that the service will meet a particular educational outcome.
Nothing in this section limits anything that cannot lawfully be limited. In particular, it does not affect our obligations under the laws protecting children's data and student records, or any right you hold under them. Those cannot be waived and we do not attempt to waive them.
Limits on what we owe you
To the fullest extent the law allows, neither party is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits or lost data, arising from the use of RodriMath.
Our total liability to you for any claim connected with the service is limited to the greater of the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred United States dollars.
These limits do not apply to our own fraud, our wilful misconduct, or anything else the law does not permit us to limit. They do not limit our obligations under the laws protecting children's data.
Where disputes go
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and any dispute belongs in the state or federal courts sitting in Florida. You and we each agree to that jurisdiction. Where the law of the state you live in gives you protections that cannot be taken away by agreement, you keep them.
There is no arbitration clause and no class-action waiver here. We would rather you were able to bring a complaint in the ordinary way than sign that right away in order to teach your child arithmetic.
Before either of us starts anything formal, please write to hello@rodrimath.com and give us thirty days to sort it out. Most things can be.
Changes to these terms
This version is dated 2026-09-30. When we change them in a way that matters you will be asked to accept the new version the next time you sign in, and we keep a record of which version each account accepted and when.
If you do not accept a new version you can stop using the service and delete your account and your children's records, and we will not charge you for the privilege of leaving. If you are on a paid plan and a change is one you will not accept, cancel from your Billing page and write to hello@rodrimath.com: we will refund the unused part of a year, whatever the date.
The rest of it
The whole agreement. These terms, the Privacy Policy, and — for a school — the School and District Terms and the quote and purchase order it signs are the entire agreement between us about RodriMath, and replace anything said before. Where a school or district has signed a data privacy agreement of its own with us, that agreement governs what it covers.
If part of it fails. If any part of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest stays in force and that part is narrowed only as far as necessary.
Not enforcing something once. If we do not enforce a term straight away, that does not mean we have given it up.
Transfer. You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours to a successor of the business, and if we do, the commitments in the Privacy Policy about children's information travel with it and bind whoever receives it. We will tell you before that happens.
Getting in touch. Notices to you go to the email address on your account. Notices to us go to hello@rodrimath.com.
Things outside anyone's control. Neither of us is responsible for a failure caused by something genuinely beyond our control, though that does not excuse either of us from the obligations about children's data.
